T60 thinkpad wont turn on

Hello, I am hoping someone can help me with my problem. My Lenovo t60 thinkpad wont turn on. It boots up all the way to the hit ctrl+al+delete box and when I do hit it nothing happens. I have tried restarting it, pulling the battery, etc... and nothing has worked yet. Any suggestions? thank you!!!

So technically speaking it turns on and goes to Windows startup where it gives you an option to press Ctrl-ALt-Del? I think your T60 is in need of re-installation of Windows, but try repair option from the Windows disc first (depending on the version of Windows you on it).
If repair doesn't work, then you can try pressing ThinkVantage button during boot to put back your T60 to factory state, doing so will wipe off all data on your thinkpad though. The R&R gives you few options to save your important data on external devices like USB drive etc, do so before using factory preload option.

Lenova Think pad makes 8 beeps and screen wont turn on

I have a black lenova thinkpad laptop and once in a while when i turn on the laptop, it makes 8 beeping noises and the screen wont turn on at all but it sounds like the laptop is on. I have tried fixing this by keeping the laptop in the fridge for a day because i think it was becaue it was over heated. Once i take it out, it works perfectly fine. But when it happens again it eally gets on my nerves and it sometimes happens at poor times when i actually NEED to use my laptop. This has happened probably over 12 times now. I have no idea how laptops work or what the different parts of them are called. So if there is a solution, please explain it in a simple manner. Thank you!

Please tell us what model laptop you have. The Hardware Maintenance Manual for you laptop probably has a "beep code" section that may help narrow down the situation.
For example. if a T420 emits One short beep, pause, three short beeps, pause, three
more short beeps, and one short beep. It can be a memory module or the system board.
The beep codes may be common to all ThinkPads (I'm not sure...) but it would be good to look up the documentation specific to your machine.

T61p 6459CTO monitor wont turn off

Been having a problem with my thinkpad T61p (bios dated 6/6/2008)
I'm using windows XP pro 32bit, fully up to date and have killed all non essential programs from taskman that i can think of and my computer STILL wont turn off its LCD monitor (via energy star count down or FN-F3 shortcut)
it shuts off fine for a couple minuets but then randomly wakes up as if i have touched the mouse or a key...I'm thinking it has to be either a service or an application im overlooking but have no idea where to start...i will provide logs upond request.
Can anyone help?

everything i could see in bios relating to waking has been disabled from the start.
Ubuntu 8.10 has no problems keeping the monitor off until i move the mouse or hit a key, its just windows XP ... is there a way to see what handle or program is interupting the sleep mode on my LCD?

R61i Wireless Adaptor wont turn On !

I have a thinkpad R61i 8932 CTO. Couple of days back Wireless radio refused to turn On after boot. Wifi light is On though and the hardware switch is also On but radio state is Off. It worked just fine till last time laptop was turned Off and one fine morning radio wont turn to On state. I have Win Vista Home Basic and I did not do anything that (I think) could relate to this problem. I also see unusually long period (4-5 min) of blank screen (with only cursor showing) after entering login password. I did change CPU of this machine several months ago; if this has anything to do with it. Help please!

Here is a very helpful troubleshooting article that may be of some use to you. It does not seem reasonable that the CPU change from several months ago would be directly related to you Radio not turning on currently. Have you tried hitting Fn+F5 to pull up the control?
I have seen with a few others that a system restore, returned functionality to their machines, and this may be a option for you after doing a back up of course. Hope this helps, Good Luck.

my ipod video is only a month and a half old and then just yesterday i was still using it around 12 noon then around 1 pm it wont turn on! i tried to reset it, made some simple troubleshooting but it wont respond waaaa when i connect it to my pc the pc cannot recognize the ipod that as if nothing is connected to the port! help please very freaked out ;(

hi my iphone 4 was working properly last night abd out of no where it kept freezing and turning off and the apple came on and later on it completly turned off and i tried everything to turned it on and nothing, today in the morning i plugged it in to the charger and pressed home plus lock together abd the apple came on!! i was so happy andit turned on back to normal, i was getting ready for school and i was playing music and 20 minutes later it shuts off and now it wont turn on! my iphone is not jail broken or has been dropped in water.

Any other suggestions? I have the same problem. I tried holding the home and power buttons with no response, and I also plugged in my phone to the charger for over an hour and still nothing. That has been the extent of my troubleshooting

Just share with you guys, i having the same issue on iPhone 5. Using the iTunes to turn off the VoiceOver had fixed the issue for me.

Try resetting the PMU - Resetting MacBook and MacBook Pro System Management Controller (SMC). If you have no success then you'll need to take it in for service or replace the AC adaptor if it's gone bad.

As far as trying to power up your device, make sure it has a good charge and then hold the button on the top of the phone and the home button on the faceplate together until the apple appears on the screen.

Try to backup and restore you device in itunes...restoring the device is like removing the iOS software off the device and re-add in a newer software, after you have restore you device, MAKE SURE YOU SET UP YOUR DEVICE LIKE A NEW DEVICE, DONT NOT RESTORE FROM BACKUP!!... give the device a chance to use the newer software and see if the issue still persisting, if the issue still on going then its would be a hardware issue.
Call Apple Care and see if your device is still under warranty to get it replace

If your iPhone is unresponsive after updating your iOS version, then I'd like you to please follow the troubleshooting below.
If you see a black screen
You might need to charge your device before it can turn on. Plug in your device and let it charge for at least 10 minutes (20 minutes for iPad), then try turning it on.
You should see a battery icon while your device is charging. If you continue to see a black screen, reset your device. If your device doesn't respond when you press buttons
Your device might not return to the Home screen when you press the Home button, wake from sleep when you press the Sleep/Wake button, slide to unlock or power off, or it might appear frozen. Try these steps:
Restart your device.
If it still doesn't respond, or if it doesn't turn back on, reset your device.
If your device gets stuck during startup
When starting up, you might see the Apple logo or a red or blue screen for a long time, or your device might restart again. Try these steps:
Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
Put your device in recovery mode.
