Itunes wont allow me to authorize computer.

itunes won't allow authorizing computer. This one is using windows 7 32 bit, one other computer is authorised, it should allow up to 5 computers to be authorised.
Any ideas?

Every time I open iTunes up it shows says "you do not have enough privileges for this operation". I click okay and then it says "Some of the purchased items on the iPod "my iPod," including "Judas," could not be transferred to your iTunes library because you are not authorized for them on this computer. try running as administrator -- a temp solution for me anyway. Waiting for apple to fix whatever this is. At least one other poster here had same problem and "solution" worked for him as well.

I too had this problem after I redeemed two $50 gift cards. I solved the problem by uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling it. Give it a try.

TS1389 iTunes is repeatedly asking to authorize computer for one song on an album

I purchased an album on iTunes and one song on the album repeatedly asks me to authorize this computer but every other song on the album plays. What is wrong with iTunes? I enter my apple ID and password and it tells me the computer is already authorized. But when I try to play the song, it asks again to authorize computer. Over and over and over. If you're using iTunes 11 click on the box icon in the top-left corner to see the " Show Menu Bar "
and from the Menu Bar select Store...
From the Store menu, choose Authorize This Computer.
(In earlier versions of iTunes, access this option from the Advanced menu).
When prompted, enter your Apple ID and password, then click Authorize.

Network settings wont allow me to authorize new computer

I have a new hp notebook running vista. im trying authorize this notebook so i can transfer the music directly from my ipod. I also can not connect to itunes store and have downloaded and installed teh updated itunes version several times. not sure if related but mozilla firefox also wont run on this notebook for some reason. simply doesnt connect. any help is appreciated

Changed my i-tunes id and now it wont allow me to authorize my computer

I changed my i-tunes id from the original now when I try to play my music it claims I need to authorize my computer to do so with the administrator password. When I use the new one it keeps asking me to authorize the computer over and over again. When I use the old one it is not valid anymore. How can I get it to allow me to play my music??????

Sounds like you are in recovery mode. Try using RecBoot to kick it out of recovery. If that does not work, you may need to restore.

itunes will not sync my purchased songs to my new ipod touch, i get an error message that says, "some of the songs purchased cannot be transferred, this computer is not authorized, go to store, then authorize this computer." I have done this over and over again, I have even deauthorized and then RE authorized again and again, I still get the same message. Can someone please please please HELP ME?

I have been renting movies on my MBP and a previous MBP for years, and have always been able to transfer the rentals to an iPhone. I always rent on the MBP and not the iPhone. However due to a NEW authorisation problem recently I have not been able to play these movies through the Apple TV (V2) like I have been doing. Others on the Internet have also started having this problem. I have to resort to airplaying the movie from the MBP over to the Apple TV, which is a royal pain. What's the point of having all this gear in the family room when I have to get up and go to the office and start the movie playing from there?! Anyway, also recently I have not been able to move rented movies to the iPhone. I have tried recursively chmodding the Shared folder as described here

and it didn't help.
So now, if we go on a long road trip or flight, we can't bring the rented movies on an iPhone/iPad. This is a big problem. No I am not going to bring the laptop on the trip. The iTunes library is on an external disk on the LAN anyway.

Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPOd under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up. When you right click a menua comes up and you select Backup.
To restore see:
iTunes: Backing up, updating, and restoring your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch software
Before you restore just make sure that all yur synced items like music and video synced to the iPOd are on the computer since those items are not in the backup. For what is in the backup see:

i usually buy iTunes cards from the store, apply them to my account and let the balance sit until i feel like making a purchase. i have credit on my account but the iTunes store will not allow me to purchase using my credit. it keeps asking me to pay by credit card....any body know how to fix this?

Itunes wont finish downloading to my computer. no message pops up, it just doesnt do anything

When I go to download Itunes from the apple website, the download starts but then doesnt finish. Nothing pops up saying anything. I just sits there doing nothing. When I click it I get the option to open when finished and I click that. It's been well over an hour and it won't work. I've uninstalled everything in the proper order and restarted the computer.

It should be telling you to download the latest iTunes on your computer... you can't install iTunes on your iPhone.

You need a 3rd party software to copy the iPod data to your PC, iTunes, then sync iTunes to the Touch.

ITunes Wont allow me to download movies in HD...

I use my mac mini as a itunes server on my network.
I remote VNC in to that mac mini when ever i want to make a puchase, the reason i do it this way is so, that that server has all of my media. It can share that with all of my devices on my network, like apple tvs macbook air an so on. itunes running on that server assumes i want to watch that HD movie on it. so it refuses to let me download it. Its error says HD content can not be played on this computer. (Little does it know its just a remote computer hidden in my closet lucky to see the sun shine.)
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
