my nquestion is about thelevel of the two different screen resoultion capabilities that this comes out one is the 1900-2000 and the other i think is the 1440 -900 something i want the higher resolution one but have no idea how to make sure that is what im getting noinfo on the closed box and the store personal had no clue. any hints on how i can insure i get the better one.

After much research I decided to buy the P-7805u laptop. This is my first laptop so just having the ability to move around makes me very happy. I wanted to get the 1900x1200 res. (I hate to know I could have got a better deal but didn't.) When I went to the store, not one sales person knew what I was talking about, so I asked them to do a "functionality" check. They didn't even hesitate, opened the box and allowed me to figure out the res. They truly had no clue what I was looking for. The one I purchased did have the higher screen res. Unfortunately I had several problems within the first week.....screen acting up, static on the screen, not waking up in hibernation mode...... I ended up taking the computer back. Best Buy was amazing with my exchange, I decided I wanted to give another one a try. Of course I went through the same drill, making them open the box, hook it up, run the set up, and check the screen res. The second one was the higher one as well. Just ask for what you want and you will get it. I do have a question for those out there that have this computer, does anyone else have the problem of not being able to get the computer to wake up from hibernation mode? This one did the same thing tonight, I had to take the battery off to get back into the computer to restart the computer. I have until Tuesday to return this one so please answer quickly!!!! Best Laptop model compatible for SAP instaletion

No Hardware Vendor or SAP support can justify this is best notebook or Desktop or Server for installation of SAP
service.sap.com/instguides will give minimum hardware recommendations for the selected component.
After installation of ECC6.0 u need add-on BI content for Bi functionality.
Pls find some one who is in industry for you installation Hope they can help you.
If i require some thing like you,i would go for 3 to 4 Gb memory(ram) & Core 2 duo processor & not less than 300 GB storage(HDD)
Request quotation from hardware vendors with configs & also support must be good any where we use notebook.

No connectivity in wifi in Lenovo laptop model 2409

I can't connect my Lenovo laptop model 2409 in the wifi network in a campus. Previously it has never been in a wifi atmosphere but worked normally thru service provider data card/dongle. I successfully downloaded and installed the windows XP wifi driver. As I now try to connect it, the wifi logo comed and subsequently vanishes without getting connected. Can anyone please guide me in this regard as I'm still a novice in this area.....B.N.Bhattacharya

Help with choosing the right lenovo laptop model

Hello All,
I am in the process of replacing my old Lenovo w520 with one of these laptop models :-
i) Lenovo T440
ii) Lenovo X1 Carbon
iii) Lenovo W540
Which one of the above 3 models is the best ? What are the known problems with any of these models?
My primary requirement is to have higher data storage capacity , Good processing power and a good sound card.
Let me know which of the models is the best .

How to determine full laptop model when label is gone?

The label with the laptop model is gone and I don't know the full model name, so I cannot find the drivers I need. I tried using the Service Station application but it only displays the left part of the model name. Is there an application that can pull the full model name from the laptop?

Install recovery that is not available in Egypt to laptop model bought from USA

My sister bought to me laptop from USA as she live there. She bought model no:
Pavilion dm4-3050 us Entertainment PC
In the beginning, I seek help from computer technician to create partitions for windows 7 so he formats the hard drive. This is the beginning of the problem. After several months the windows 7 became unresponsive and very slow, so I seek help from the same person. He removed the windows 7 and tried to install another one but all his attempts failed. Since that time my laptop didn't work.
I used HP website to know the cause of this problem. I knew that there is recovery manager and I should have to make refresh or reinstall this recovery but I do not know that before. I hardly reached to HP technical support in Middle East. They guide me to HP service centers in Egypt but all these centers very stupid and helpful because they said that the recovery of this model unavailable with them because my laptop model not available in Middle East. When I come back to HP technical support in Middle East, they said to me to come back to service centers again as they can make contacts with HP technical support in USA and get the recovery of this model but they refused. Accordingly HP technical support in Middle East solve this problem by advice me to return my laptop to USA.
My laptop did not work for 4 months because of mainly my mistake and stupidity and lack of cooperation of HP technical support in Middle East and HP service centers in Egypt.
Please help me as soon as possible.

1- I try to make this order but it is not appear that it is order for recovery media but the title of the order is "order software and driver media" Is that right? YES, that is correct... "Order software and driver media" is the HP Recovery Media.
2- when my sister send the recovery media for me is it easy to install it? YES, it is easy to install... Please see HP PCs - Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 7) for instructions on using the media.

Toshiba Laptop Model Number X205-SLi3

I have purchase a Toshiba Laptop Model Number X205-SLi3 back on late 2007 by on 03/12 , 06/20, 11/25/08 and on 4/20/09 this laptop has being at the repair shop, has any one else having trouble this king of problem. I was told I may receive the laptop back some time after may 24, 2009 if they get the parts in. what can I do with this problem, Florida law has the lemon law and this loptop falls in this category. My last toshiba laptop lasted 5 years before it die. I do like toshiba over all, but this one has be thinking in what to do. Need help in what to do!!!

The first time it wend down it wouldn't boot up, and both video card replace. the second time was it was the both video cards, mother board and the screen, The third time they replace the mother board and both video cards. and now it looks like is both video card. one USB port quit working. and the computer wont boot-up and give you the three bips of death. They toll me I may get that maybe by May 24th they will get the video card, The only thing I want from toshiba is to give me back the days that the laptop stay their waiting for repair, on my waranty. Or replace the bloody thing. They told me they can't do anything becouse I send it to a authorice repair depot and not to their repair depot. They know that the laptop has gone to a representative repair depot, since the gave auto repair number.

My Laptop Model (L505-SP6984R) does not appear in Toshiba Site

I just bought a Satellite L505-SP6984R and wanted to subscriber to Toshiba Updates, but the laptop model does not appear in any of their lists. Does anyone have a recommendation of which model to choose instead (if any)? The model do appears when I provide the part number and serial but that's on another part of the site that is not related to support.

6GB RAM
750GB 5400rpm Hard Drive
15.6-Inch LED Screen, Intel HD 4000 Graphics
Windows 8 (64-bit)
That is just barely above the minimum requirements to even run AE. You will have to work pretty smart to run smoothly with AE. Make sure you don't have multiprocessing turned on, you don't have enough RAM for it at all.
What are your memory and multiprocessing settings?
You may not be able to RAM preview full HD on it. Just preview a frame at a time at full res if you must and use a half-res RAM preview for checking timing.

Or get a more powerful desktop instead.

New Gateway FX Laptop

I bought a Gateway FX Laptop yesterday from a local Best Buy. It seems kind of faulty to me but I wanted to see if annyone else on here had an opinion on what it could be. I often have to click several times in the internet on a link before it will go to the next page. Otherwise it loads forever and then says it cannot open that page. If this happens, I go back and then click it again and the page opens right away. Also, it seems kind of slow and I thought this computer was supposed to be FAST!! When installing a few programs, it froze during the installation and wouldnt let me go to my task manager. If i could get to the task manager, i stopped the installation and then tried re-installing the program. It would then get further in progress and freeze again. Does anyone else think i should return this and get a new one??

I think the internet is fine. Its a fast connection that worked with the previous laptop I had just fine. Our router is in its own room with a desktop computer. I am running wireless to this laptop. Also, we have another laptop that runs wireless with no problems at all. It works most of the time on my new laptop, but won't every now and then. The freezing on installation of programs was another problem i was having. one program went fine but then itunes kept freezing. I restarted my computer and then itunes installed after that. I can work around the problems, but feel that I shouldn't have to when i just bought this laptop that is new and was over $1,000. It seems kind of laggy at times too. With the specifications it has, it should be blazing fast all the time.

Yes use a WMI Query or Task Sequence Variable as condition!
Imagine, wanting to install the Validity Fingerprint Driver and Suite to a HP Probook 6560b.
Import the application in MDT, like you normally do with all applications.
In your task sequence, embed an "Install Application" step an point it towards the specific application you want to install.
Now on the options tab, click "ADD" and select: "Task Sequence Variable"
Now a pop-up dialog appears, specify which Variable is meant and specify the value.
In this case:
Model equals HP Probook 6560b
You can also set the condition on a group instead of one specific action. Then everything residing under that nested group will either be executed or skipped. It's a great way to reduce complexity in dealing with various models or the desire to have a task
sequence per model, which is now not necessary.
Another way to achieve the same is to use a WMI query, which in this particular case would have looked like this:
select * from win32_computersystem where model = HP Probook 6560b
or you can use wildcards and then your query would be like:
select * from win32_computersystem where model like "%HP Probook 65%"
With the above used wildcard you target the entire HP Probook 65xx series.
Hope this provides you enough insight to achieve what you want, if there are any other questions you have, please feel free to respond.
And last but not least, check your BDD.log since it reveals all kinds of cool stuff that can be used as a condition for some sort. Think of things like physical memory, make, model, default gateway, physical disks etc.
