Can my i pod battery damage if i  overcharge it with a bad charger?

What do you mean by a bad charger?  The iPod's charging circuit is controlled within the iPod.  When it is fully charged, it will stop charging.

  • Can I install photoshop on to more that one computer with no extra charge?

I have a home computer and a work computer and I need to use PS on both machines, I already have an account, will it charge me extra if i download it on to my second PC?

One license does entitle to install Photoshop on two computers.
Previously it was emphasised that this was for con-simultaneous use, but I think that restriction is not in effect anymore.

Just like it had nevr been damaged; fully dischagre and charge monthly, minimize battery drain so you minimize charge/dischare cycles.

  • What can make the iPod 4G battery damage?

What can make the iPod 4G battery damage?

Leaving it plugged in all the time can damage it, it needs to be cycled every now anda again. It keeps its internal resistanc from building up too much.
Obviously, dropping it, getting it wet, lighting it on fire ect will also damage it.

Heat, sun, not use the iPod for a long time.
If you don't go to use it for more than 1 month, recharge up to 50%

Do you connect the charger in the MacBook Pro battery damage if using device ?
i am sorry i not good speak english

Provided you are using the correct charger for your Mac (13" have a 65 watt charger, 15" and 17", an 85 watt charger), it has enough capacity to power the computer for normal tasks, and the leftover power can charge the battery at the same time. If you are doing something very intensive, there may not be leftover power, but the Mac will take power from the battery if needed. Once the battery is fully charged, the pilot light in the charger plug will change from orange to green and no further charge will be applied to the battery.
You can use your Mac plugged to the charger with no damage to the battery or the computer.

  • Can you replace a battery in an ipod classic?

Can you replace a battery in an iPod classic?

    Hi karafromnv,
    Thanks for your query!
I would not recommend replacing the battery inside your iPod as static electricity can damage the device. Instead can I recommend popping over to http://www.apple.com/batteries/replacements.html to find an appropriate solution. Apple offer replacment batteries for your iPod.
    Best of Luck,

  • IPhone 5S + GTA SA = Battery Damage

    The iPhone 5S
    Space Gray
    16GB
The iPhone5S game Grand theft auto San Andreas heats up the phone a lot, and I am wondering if this can lead to permanent battery damage

If the phone becomes so hot you feel you cannot hold it comfortably, then, yes, excessive use of this game may cause damage to the phone.
    Otherwise, no.

  • Can't remove MBP battery

My MBP has been shutting down randomly (I'll be working on something and then the screen will go black and I have to restart to the chime with the power button), so I am trying to take out the battery to see if it's been recalled, but I can't get the battery out. I pull the latches up and nothing happens. Even if I turn the computer over and jiggle it a bit, it only comes out about a millimeter. How can I get it out?

Can you tell if it seems warped or bulging? If it's distorted, that may be why it is difficult to get out. But if it is bulging, there's a good chance you can get it replaced at no cost, since that is a recognized defect. If you have access to an Apple Store, try taking it in and see if a genius can get it out. Keep in mind that a bulging battery can cause other problems and potential damage, especially with the trackpad.
    Good luck!

  • Did I damage my battery by using a bad charger?

I plugged in my friends macbook pro charger to charge my MBA at his house like I have done many times before but this time around I did not know that the charger was faulty but by the time he told me it was too late. The charger is having a problem where you need to wiggle it to get it to charge the laptop but it has no visible damage on the outside. It also behaved weirdly after I plugged it into my laptop (which by the way acted normally and started charging with this malfunctioning charger) ; the LED light on the magsafe stayed on after I unplugged it from my laptop but was a dim green as if there was a short inside the plug that was making it think it was still on. I fully charged my battery at home and everything is fine just worried if I had done damage to my laptop and if there are any procedures to check if it is damaged.

Most of your computer's relevant battery condition parameters can be found in the System Profiler located in the Utilities folder of your Applications folder. You did not specify what version of the OS you have. The newer OS, (ie Mountain Lion) will call it "System Information". Open the App, look on the left side and click on "power". There you will find cuurent health, cycle counts, etc. You can also find some apps in the app store that you can download for free that will give you even more info than you need.
    Hope this helps,

  • Battery damage from 45W vs 65Wattage chord?

I just realized that the possible reason my PBook 15" 1.67HRz battery was only lasting 1 hour and 'not really fully charging' was that the two powerchords I was given (sold) with this computer were only 45Watts. They did not have the large "45W" printed on the white brick, so it was hard to know. urgh....
I went out and bought a new 65W power chord from the Apple store tonight (M8943LL/A) and am currently charging the battery (after letting it run down to 1% when the computer shut off). Man, the brick gets real hot!!
I assume the previous user (a family member) was using 45W cables too. They said the orginal powerchord broke, and they were told these were fine (didn't understand the wattage difference).
The Battery Power readings in my System Profiler (10.4.4) report:
    Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 3959
    Remaining Capacity (mAh): 3443
    Do these numbers reveal anything?
How long can I expect the battery to last?
Is it true that you can use a 65W on an ibook,Tbook, others that only require the 45W, but not the other way around?
    Thanks

the 'genius' at the bridgeport apple store (tigard,or) tells me that using the 45w won't damage it, it just won't let u do the firmware update on that battery. the documentation also says it won't get 'optimal performance' with any but the 65w -- guessing that means the processor can't run at 1.67 without it. maybe it goes down to 1.5? who knows? just a guess. just recalibrate yr batt., shld be fine.
